Hazrat Abu Hurayrah and Hazrat ‘Anas, who are both famous Companions of the Most Honourable Messenger of Allah, have narrated that: “Whosoever recites after the late afternoon [‘Asr] prayer on Friday, the following Durood Sharif eighty (80) times, without moving from his place will have eighty years of his sins forgiven.”

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ الْأُمِّيِّ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَسَلِّمْ تَسْلِيمًا
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammadin n-nabiyyi l-ummiyyi wa ʿalā ālihi wa sallim taslīman.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad, the unlettered Prophet, and upon his family, and bestow a most complete peace upon them.
