1. More beautiful than you no eye has ever seen
And purer than you no woman ever gave birth to
You were created free from any flaw whatsoever
As if you were created just the way you wanted
And purer than you no woman ever gave birth to
You were created free from any flaw whatsoever
As if you were created just the way you wanted

2. The palm of the Chosen One is like a fresh rose
Its fragrance remains upon the hands after a brushing touch
Every servant has received from his gifts
Beloved of Allah, O Best of Creation

Beloved of Allah, O Best of Creation

3. He had no taint of shadow, rather he was light
The moon and sun both benefited from him
There would have been no guidance without his appearance
The whole universe became illuminated through the light of Ta-Ha

4. The saliva of the Chosen One heals the ailing
Take the eye of Qatada as evidence [of this]*
[And as further evidence:] He spat in the well and it became a flowing spring
And it became like honey for his companions.
*The reference here is to the companion Qatada ibn al-Nu'man who’s eye was injured and dangling from its socket while defending the Prophet ﷺ at Uhud. It was pushed back into place by the Prophet’s blessed hands ﷺ and healed so well it became stronger than his unwounded eye.

5. Kohl-eyed is my beloved, were you to see him
Cheerful and smiling, leaving his admirers utterly in love
Magnificent in appearance, for the Lord did choose him
While all of creation is illuminated from the light of Ta-Ha

Magnificent in appearance, for the Lord did choose him
While all of creation is illuminated from the light of Ta-Ha

6. It was narrated to be a strip of hair like a stem of musk wood
It began at the chest, down to his perfect navel
O Messenger of Allah, be gentle with the lovestruck, with those who have fallen madly in love with you
And heal the heart with a smile from yourself

O Messenger of Allah, be gentle with the lovestruck, with those who have fallen madly in love with you
And heal the heart with a smile from yourself
