Contents
When the sky splits [82:1]
and when the stars are scattered [82:2]
and when the oceans are drained [82:3]
and when the tombs are upset, [82:4]
each soul will know what it produced and what it left undone. [82:5]
O human being, what has seduced you from your generous Lord [82:6]
who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you, [82:7]
constructing you in any form at will? [82:8]
No, instead you deny requital [82:9]
though there are guardians over you, [82:10]
honorable, keeping records, [82:11]
who know what you do. [82:12]
As for the righteous, they will be in happiness, [82:13]
while the deviants will be in a blaze, [82:14]
where they will roast on the day of requital, [82:15]
unable to hide from it. [82:16]
And what will let you know what the day of requital is? [82:17]
Again, what will let you know what the day of requital is? [82:18]
The day no soul can do anything for another; for the matter that day is up to God. [82:19]
