Short Salawat
Below is a non-exhaustive list of short salawat. The purpose of this collection is to make it easier to send abundant blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ using the shortest formulas. It is recommended to mention the title Sayyidina (our Master) before the blessed name of Muhammad ﷺ. The most complete form of salawat includes prayers (salat), peace (salam), and mention of the Family of the Prophet ﷺ (see salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ and his Family).

Salat 1
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammad.
O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad.
Salat 2
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَیِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā sayyidinā Muḥammad.
O Allah, send prayers upon our master Muhammad.
Salat 3
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalayh.
O Allah, send prayers upon him.
Note: You may start reciting the above after reciting the following verse once:
Salat 4
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَیِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ ❁
Ṣallā Llāhu ʿalā sayyidinā Muḥammad.
May Allah send prayers upon our master Muhammad.
Note: You may replace the blessed name of Muhammad with another one of the Prophet’s ﷺ names or titles, such as Taha, Yasin, Tahir etc. See a full list of the names and titles of the Prophet ﷺ here. For example:
Salat 5
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ ❁
Ṣallā Llāhu ʿalayh.
May Allah send prayers upon him.
Salat 6
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ❁
Ṣallā Llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam.
May Allah send prayers and peace upon him.
Salat 7
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَنَبِيِّكَ النَّبِيِّ الْأُمِّيِّ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammadin ʿabdika wa-nabiyyika n-nabiyyi l-ummiyy.
O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad, Your slave and Prophet, the primordial Prophet.
Salat 8
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَیِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمْ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā sayyidinā Muḥammadin, Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalayhi wa-sallim.
O Allah, send prayers upon our master Muhammad, O Allah, send prayers and peace upon him.
Note: This prayer combines two short salawat.
Prayers and Greetings to the Prophet ﷺ
Salat 9
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ❁
As-salāmu ʿalayka yā rasūla Llāh.
Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah.
Note: Rasulullah is one of the titles of the Prophet ﷺ. You can substitute this for another one of his blessed names or titles, such as Nur, Abdullah, Rasulu Rahmah etc. See a full list of the names and titles of the Prophet ﷺ here. For example:
Salat 10
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ❁
Ṣallā Llāhu ʿalayka yā rasūla Llāh.
May Allah send prayers upon you, O Messenger of Allah.

Salat 11
الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ❁
Aṣ-ṣalātu wa-s-salāmu ʿalayka yā rasūla Llāh.
May prayers and peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah.

Salat 12
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ ❁
As-salāmu ʿalayka ayyuha n-nabiyyu wa-raḥmatu Llāhi wa-barakātuh.
Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.

Salat 13
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَیِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَسَلِّمْ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā sayyidinā Muḥammadin wa-ʿalā ālihi wa-sallim.
O Allah, send prayers and peace upon our master Muhammad and upon his Family.
Note: The second occurrence of “upon” can be omitted, giving:
Salat 14
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى سَیِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِهِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli wa-sallim ʿalā sayyidinā Muḥammadin wa-ʿalā ālih.
O Allah, send prayers and peace upon our master Muhammad and upon his Family.
Salat 15
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلِّمْ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā sayyidinā Muḥammadin wa-ʿalā ālihi wa-ṣaḥbihi wa-sallim.
O Allah, send prayers and peace upon our master Muhammad and upon his Family and Companions.
Salat 16
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَیِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ الْأُمِّيِّ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلِّمْ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā sayyidinā Muḥammadini n-nabiyyi l-ummiyyi wa-ʿalā ālihi wa-ṣaḥbihi wa-sallim.
O Allah, send prayers and peace upon our master Muhammad, the primordial Prophet, and upon his Family and Companions.
Salat 17
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ بَيْتِهِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammadin wa-ʿalā āli Muḥammadin wa-ʿalā āli baytih.
O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and upon the Family of Muhammad and upon the members of his Household.
Salat 18
سَيِّدُنَا مُحَمَّدٌ صَلَّى اللَّهُ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَى آلِهِ ❁
Sayyidunā Muḥammadun ṣallā Llāhu wa-sallama ʿalayhi wa-ʿalā ālih.
Our master Muhammad, may Allah send prayers and peace upon him and upon his Family.

Salat 19
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ❁
Ṣallā Llāhu ʿalā sayyidinā wa-mawlānā Muḥammadin wa-ʿalā ālihi wa-ṣaḥbihi wa-sallam.
May Allah send prayers and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad and upon his Family and Companions.
Salat 20
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ النُّورِ وَآلِهِ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā sayyidinā Muḥammadini n-nūri wa-ālih.
O Allah, send prayers upon our master Muhammad, the light, and his Family.
Salat 21
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمْ ❁
Ṣallā Llāhu ʿalā sayyidinā Muḥammadin, ṣallā Llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam.
May Allah send prayers upon our master Muhammad, may Allah send prayers and peace upon him.

سبحان الله
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ سَیِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ
صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَىٰ طٰهٰ
صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ
صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُورْ.
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى ٱلنَّبِىِّ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ صَلُّواْ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُواْ تَسْلِيمًا
*💙اے محمــــــــــد ﷺ💙*
دل کیـــــــــا ۔جســـــــــم کیـــــــــا جــــــان کیـــــــــا مــــــال کیـؔـؔـؔـؔـؔـؔـؔـؔـؔـؔا
اولاد کیــــــــــا ۔والــــدین کیـــــــــــا دوســــــت کیــــــا ۔محبـــتـــــــ کیـــــــــا ســــــــب آپـــــ ﷺ محمــــــد ﷺپــــــر قـــــــربان
*🩵صَـــــــــــلَّی اللّه ُ عَلَیہِ واٰلِہٖ وَسَـــــــــــلِّم🩵*
صلي الله اليك يا محمد
Why it is not on list?
Allahumma salli salatha jalalin wa sallim salama jamalin ala khadrathi habeebika sayidina muhammed
اللهم صل علی محمد وآله و سلم
اداس مت ہو، وہ اللہ تمہارے ہر اداس لمحے کو سکون میں بدلنے پر قادر ہے۔ ❤️
Allahumma sali wassalim alaa habibihi Muhammad
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ
Can we recite this durood as tasbeeh?
اللَّهُمَّ صَلَّى عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ عَدَدَ مَا ذَكَرَهُ الذَّاكِرُونَ وَغَفَلَ عَنْ ذِكْرِهِ الْغَافِلون
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ بَيْتِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلِّمْ ﷺ❤️🌸✨
Jazak allah
Mashallah Mashallah bahoot hi payara hay. Allah pak hamy bhi bar bar parhnay ki tofiq ata kary, ameen, ap sab kush o abad rhy, Allah pak sab ki parishaniya door kary, ameen
If I do ‘allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammad’, and then continue saying ‘wa ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammad’ for thousands of times, do you think it is appropriate and respectful? Or should I not shorten it? I want to shorten it so I can do tens of thousands of prayers upon him ﷺ with focus and love.
