Tasbih Recited During Salatul Tasbih
Abu Rafi I related that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed al-Abbas I to perform four rak’ahs of Salatul Tasbih and to recite the following words repeatedly throughout each rak’ah, beginning with fifteen repetitions after the Qur’anic recitation. Seventy-five repetitions are made in each rak’ah, making three hundred in four rak’ahs. The Prophet ﷺ said that through this prayer Allah would forgive his sins, even if they were as numerous as the sands of Alij.
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ❁ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ❁ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ❁ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ ❁
Subḥāna Llāhi, wa-l-ḥamdu li-Llāhi, wa-lā ilāha illā Llāhu, wa-Llāhu akbar.
Glory be to Allah. All praise belongs to Allah. There is no god but Allah. Allah is the Greatest.
