Salat al-Yaqutiyya

In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
“Indeed, Allah and His Angels send prayers upon the Prophet. O you who believe, send prayers upon him and greet him with peace.” (33:56)
O Allah, send prayers and peace upon the one whom You made the means for the unfolding of the mysteries of Your realm of omnipotence, and for the bursting forth of the lights of Your all-mercifulness. He thus became the deputy of the divine presence and the vicegerent of the mysteries of Your essence. He is the ruby of the oneness of Your eternal, self-sufficient essence, and the very locus of manifestation of Your pre-eternal attributes. By You, from You, he became a veil before You, and a secret from among the mysteries of Your unseen. Through him, You have veiled Yourself from many of Your creation. He is the treasure protected by a talisman and the overflowing, unfathomable ocean.
So we beseech You, O Allah, by his rank with You and by the honour You have bestowed upon him, to fill our bodies with his deeds, our hearing with his words, our hearts with his lights, our spirits with his mysteries, our beings with his spiritual states, our innermost secrets with his manner of devotion, our inward realities with witnessing him, our sight with the lights of the radiance of his beauty, and our final deeds with what pleases him, until we behold You through him, and behold him through You. Thus may I become a deputy of the two presences, and through them guide to each of them.
We ask You, O Allah, to send prayers and peace upon him, a prayer and salutation of peace befitting his sublime station and immense rank. Unite me with him through both of them, draw me near to him through the sincerity of their love, breathe upon me, by means of them, the fragrant breezes of the God-fearing, and bestow upon me, through them, a gift of the elect, for he is the safeguarded secret and the unique, hidden jewel. He is the precious gem enclosed within the shells of Your hidden treasures, and the hidden depth from which Your known realities are selected. Thus he was a mystery from among Your mysteries and a substitute for the secret of Your lordship, until he thereby became a manifestation through whom we are guided to the knowledge of You. And how could it be otherwise, when You have informed us of this in the decisive verses of Your Book, saying: “Indeed, those who pledge allegiance to you are but pledging allegiance to Allah.” (48:10, excerpt) Thus, all doubt has departed from us, and true awareness has been attained.
O Allah, make our guiding to You be through him, and our dealings with You arise from the lights of following him.
O Allah, be pleased with those whom You have made exemplars to be followed, whose hearts You have made lamps of guidance, purified from the bondage of all that is other than You and from the stains of spiritual impurity. From their hearts emerged the pearls of divine meanings, which were then fashioned into the necklaces of realised truth for the people of outward forms. You chose them in Your pre-eternal decree to be among the Companions of Your chosen Prophet, and You were pleased with them for upholding and defending Your religion. They are the noble masters, the righteous and elect.
O Allah, increase upon them the abundance of Your pleasure, along with the Prophet’s Family, his kin, and those who follow in their footsteps.
O Allah, forgive our sins, the sins of our parents, our shaykhs, our brothers in Allah, and all the believing men and believing women, the Muslim men and Muslim women, those among them who are obedient, as well as those burdened with sins.
