Dua for Looking in the Mirror
Dua 1: Asking for Good Character When Looking in the Mirror
Ali I reported that when the Prophet ﷺ looked into the mirror, he would say:
Al-ḥamdu li-Llāh. Allāhumma kamā ḥassanta khalqī, fa-ḥassin khuluqī.
Praise belongs to Allah. O Allah, just as You have perfected my appearance, perfect my character.

Dua 2: Praising Allah for One’s Appearance and Faith
Anas I narrated that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at his face in the mirror, he would say these words.
Al-ḥamdu li-Llāhi lladhī sawwā khalqī fa-ʿaddalahu, wa-karrama ṣūrata wajhī fa-ḥassanahā, wa-jaʿalanī mina l-muslimīn.
Praise belongs to Allah, Who proportioned my form and set it in balance, honoured the appearance of my face and made it beautiful, and made me one of the Muslims.
