إِلَى الْحَبِيبِ خُذُونِي ❁ إِلَى ضِيَاءِ عُيُونِي ❁
Ilā l-ḥabībi khudhūnī, ilā ḍiyā'i ʿuyūnī.
1. Take me to the Beloved, take me to the light of my eyes.
إِلَى الْمُخْتَارِ حَيْثُ الْأَنْوَارْ ❁ وَهُنَاكَ دَعُونِي دَعُونِي ❁
Ilā l-mukhtāri ḥaythu l-anwār, wa-hunāka daʿūnī daʿūnī.
2. To the Chosen One, where the lights shine. Leave me there, leave me there.
خُذُونِي فَبُعْدِي طَالَ وَزَادْ ❁ أُمَتِّعُ بَصَرِي وَكَذَا الْفُؤَادْ ❁
Khudhūnī fa-buʿdī ṭāla wa-zād, umattiʿu baṣarī wa-kadhā l-fu'ād.
3. Take me, for my separation has grown long and intensified, so that I may delight my eyes and heart.
لِنُورِ الْعَيْنْ لِطَهَ الزَّيْنْ ❁ وَهُنَاكَ دَعُونِي دَعُونِي ❁
Li-nūri l-ʿayn li-Ṭāhā z-zayn, wa-hunāka daʿūnī daʿūnī.
4. To the delight of my eyes, the beautiful Taha. Leave me there, leave me there.
تَرَى الْعَاشِقِينَ عَلَى بَابِهِ ❁ يَرُومُونَ مِنْ فَيْضِ جَنَابِهِ ❁
Tarā l-ʿāshiqīna ʿalā bābihi, yarūmūna min fayḍi janābihi.
5. You see the lovers at his door, seeking the overflowing grace of his presence.
وَأَلْقَى هَنَايْ ❁ وَأَلْقَى رَجَائِي ❁
Wa-alqā hanāy, wa-alqā rajā'ī.
6. And I find my joy and what I hope for.
أَنْ أَحْيَا فِي حِمَى مَوْلَايْ ❁ أَنْ أَحْيَا فِي حِمَى مَوْلَايْ ❁
An aḥyā fī ḥimā mawlāy, an aḥyā fī ḥimā mawlāy.
7. To live under the protection of my master, to live under the protection of my master.
خُذُونِي فَبُعْدِي طَالَ وَزَادْ ❁ أُمَتِّعُ بَصَرِي وَكَذَا الْفُؤَادْ ❁
Khudhūnī fa-buʿdī ṭāla wa-zād, umattiʿu baṣarī wa-kadhā l-fu'ād.
8. Take me, for my separation has grown long and intensified, so that I may delight my eyes and heart.
لِنُورِ الْعَيْنْ لِطَهَ الزَّيْنْ ❁ وَهُنَاكَ دَعُونِي دَعُونِي ❁
Li-nūri l-ʿayn li-Ṭāhā z-zayn, wa-hunāka daʿūnī daʿūnī.
9. To the delight of my eyes, the beautiful Taha. Leave me there, leave me there.
خُذُونِي أَزُورَ قُبَاءَ وَالْبَقِيعْ ❁ وَحَمْزَةَ عَمَّ النَّبِيِّ الشَّفِيعْ ❁
Khudhūnī azūra Qubā'a wa-l-Baqīʿ, wa-Ḥamzata ʿamma n-nabiyyi sh-shafīʿ.
10. Take me so I may visit Quba, al-Baqi, and Hamzah, the uncle of the interceding Prophet.
وَأَلْقَى هَنَايْ ❁ وَأَلْقَى رَجَائِي ❁
Wa-alqā hanāy, wa-alqā rajā'ī.
11. And I find my joy and what I hope for.
أَنْ أَحْيَا فِي حِمَى مَوْلَايْ ❁ أَنْ أَحْيَا فِي حِمَى مَوْلَايْ ❁
An aḥyā fī ḥimā mawlāy, an aḥyā fī ḥimā mawlāy.
12. To live under the protection of my master, to live under the protection of my master.

دَقَائِقَ عِنْدَ مَقَامِ الْحَبِيبْ ❁ تُزِيلُ هُمُومَ الْمُحِبِّ الْكَئِيبْ ❁
Daqā'iqa ʿinda maqāmi l-ḥabīb, tuzīlu humūma l-muḥibbi l-ka'īb.
15. A few moments at the resting place of the Beloved remove the worries of the sorrowful lover.
وَأَلْقَى هَنَايْ ❁ وَأَلْقَى رَجَائِي ❁
Wa-alqā hanāy, wa-alqā rajā'ī.
16. And I find my joy and what I hope for.
أَنْ أَحْيَا فِي حِمَى مَوْلَايْ ❁ أَنْ أَحْيَا فِي حِمَى مَوْلَايْ ❁
An aḥyā fī ḥimā mawlāy, an aḥyā fī ḥimā mawlāy.

بِقُرْبِ الْحَبِيبِ النَّبِيِّ الرِّضَا ❁ أُرِيدُ حَيَاتِي أَنْ تَنْقَضِي ❁
Bi-qurbi l-ḥabībi n-nabiyyi r-riḍā, urīdu ḥayātī an tanqaḍī.
20. Near the beloved Prophet, the well-pleasing one, I wish my life to run its course.
وَأَلْقَى هَنَايْ ❁ وَأَلْقَى رَجَائِي ❁
Wa-alqā hanāy, wa-alqā rajā'ī.
21. And I find my joy and what I hope for.
أَنْ أَحْيَا فِي حِمَى مَوْلَايْ ❁ أَنْ أَحْيَا فِي حِمَى مَوْلَايْ ❁
An aḥyā fī ḥimā mawlāy, an aḥyā fī ḥimā mawlāy.
22. To live under the protection of my master, to live under the protection of my master.
