Dua When Looking at the Sky
Dua 1: Glorifying Allah When Looking at the Sky
Abdullah ibn Abbas I reported that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ awoke during the night, he would look towards the sky and recite verses from the Qur’an, including the following words.
﴿رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَـٰذَا بَـٰطِلًا سُبْحَـٰنَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ ❁﴾
﴾Rabbanā mā khalaqta hādhā bāṭilan, subḥānaka fa-qinā ʿadhāba n-nār﴿.
"Our Lord, You have not created this in vain. Glory be to You. Protect us from the punishment of the Fire." (3:191)
