Dua 1: Seeking Allah’s Help When a Matter Overwhelms You
Awf ibn Malik I reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave judgement between two men. As the man against whom the judgement was given turned away, he said, “Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.” The Prophet ﷺ said: “Allah reproaches you for failing to act, so you should act with sound judgement. If a matter overwhelms you, then say:”
حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ ❁
Ḥasbiya Llāhu wa-niʿma l-Wakīl.
Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.
