Dua for Someone You Love
Dua 1: Telling Someone You Love Them for the Sake of Allah
Anas ibn Malik I reported that a man told the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he loved another man. The Prophet ﷺ asked, “Have you told him?” He replied, “No.” The Prophet ﷺ said, “Tell him.” The man went to him and said the following.
إِنِّي أُحِبُّكَ فِي اللَّهِ ❁
Innī uḥibbuka fī Llāh.
I love you for the sake of Allah.

Dua 2: Replying to Someone Who Loves You for the Sake of Allah
Anas ibn Malik I reported that, following the instruction of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, a man told another man, “I love you for the sake of Allah.” The man responded with the following words.
أَحَبَّكَ الَّذِي أَحْبَبْتَنِي لَهُ ❁
Aḥabbaka lladhī aḥbabtanī lah.
May He for Whose sake you love me love you.
