Supplication and Remembrance During a Solar Eclipse

Abu Musa al-Ashʿari I reported that when a solar eclipse occurred, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the eclipse prayer with prolonged standing, bowing, and prostration. He explained that eclipses are among the signs of Allah and instructed that when they occur, Muslims should turn to the remembrance of Allah, supplicate to Him, and seek His forgiveness.
