O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and upon the Family of Muhammad, the best of creation, the most excellent of mankind, and the intercessor of the nations on the Day of Gathering and Resurrection. Send prayers upon our master Muhammad and upon the Family of our master Muhammad by the number of everything that is known to You. Send prayers upon Muhammad and upon the Family of Muhammad, bless them and grant them peace. Send prayers upon all the Prophets and Messengers, upon all the Angels brought near to You, and upon Allah’s righteous slaves. Grant peace in great abundance through Your mercy, Your favour and Your generosity, O Most Generous of the generous. By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful. O Eternal One. O Everlasting One. O Ever-Living One. O Self-Subsisting One. O Unique One. O One. O Eternally Self-Sufficient One. O You Who neither beget nor are begotten, and to Whom none is comparable. By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

About Darood Mahi
According to traditional accounts, Durood Mahi is associated with numerous benefits. It is widely recited as a means of seeking Allah’s protection from afflictions and calamities, and it is reported that if it is recited over a sick person while supplicating for them, healing is attained by the permission of Allah. It is also traditionally recited by those seeking the fulfilment of lawful needs, increased provision, an honourable life, and protection from enemies and hardship.
It is further reported that whoever recites Durood Mahi after the Fajr prayer will be protected from hardship throughout the day, while whoever recites it after the Maghrib prayer will be protected throughout the night. Those who make it a regular practice after each of the five daily prayers are likewise said to receive protection from hardship and to have their lawful needs fulfilled.
Some devotional traditions also recommend reciting Durood Mahi 111 times after the Fajr prayer each day, stating that Allah appoints an angel to protect the reciter from calamities and difficulties. It is also reported that whoever recites it 41 times daily after the Tarawih prayer during the month of Ramadan will be blessed, by the permission of Allah, with seeing the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in a dream.
These practices are transmitted through various spiritual masters. Their benefit ultimately depends upon the will of Allah, and they should be undertaken with sincerity, lawful intention and complete trust (tawakkul) in Him. Durood Mahi is, above all, a prayer of love and honour for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and its greatest blessing lies in drawing closer to Allah through abundant prayers upon His Beloved Prophet ﷺ.
