Durood-e-Hazara
Durood Hazara (Urdu: درود ہزارہ; “The Thousand-Fold Salutation”) is a concise prayer of blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. According to traditional accounts, it was bestowed upon Shaykh Bahauddin Zakariya al-Multani in a dream by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. It is especially recited for blessings, the fulfilment of lawful needs, and an increase in sustenance.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ بِعَدَدِ كُلِّ ذَرَّةٍ مِئَةَ أَلْفِ أَلْفِ مَرَّةٍ وَبَارِكْ وَسَلِّمْ ❁
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammadin wa-ʿalā āli Muḥammadin, bi-ʿadadi kulli dharratin mi’ata alfi alfi marratin, wa-bārik wa-sallim.
O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and upon the Family of Muhammad, one hundred million times for every particle, and bless him and grant him peace.

About Durood Hazara
According to historical accounts, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught this prayer to Shaykh Bahauddin Zakariya al-Multani in a dream. It later became known as Durood Hazara (“The Thousand-Fold Salutation”) because a single recitation is said to carry the reward of 1,000 recitations of Salawat.

- It is regarded as especially beneficial for those seeking the blessing of visiting the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
- It is associated with the fulfilment of lawful needs.
- It is said to help remove hardship, difficulty, and distress.
- Reciting it once after the Fajr prayer is associated with abundant blessings and worldly benefit.
- Reciting it 313 times after Fajr is recommended for an increase in sustenance (rizq) and relief from poverty.
- It is reported that the one who recites it after Fajr may, by Allah’s permission, be admitted into Paradise without reckoning and be granted the companionship of the Prophet ﷺ.
