Bashairul Khairat
Bashair al-Khayrat (Arabic: بشائر الخيرات; “Glad Tidings of Goodness”) is a collection of prayers upon the Prophet ﷺ attributed to Shaykh Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani. It was received through spiritual inspiration and later confirmed by the Prophet ﷺ. The collection incorporates nearly seventy Qur’anic verses that convey hope, guidance, and glad tidings for the believers, woven into prayers upon the Prophet ﷺ. Its full title is Bashair al-Khayrat wa-Bulugh al-Masarrat fi al-Salat ‘ala Sahib al-Mu’jizat (“Glad Tidings of Goodness and the Attainment of Delights in Sending Prayers upon the Possessor of Miracles ﷺ”).

O Allah, send prayers and peace upon our master Muhammad, the bearer of good news and the bringer of glad tidings to the righteous, in accordance with what Allah the Magnificent has said: “My righteous slaves shall inherit the earth” (21:105), “They are the heirs who will inherit al-Firdaws and dwell there forever.” (23:10–11)

About Bashairul Khairat
It is narrated from the great spiritual master, Shaykh Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani, renowned among the saints and a leader of the people of God, that he once addressed a companion with the following words:
Receive these prayers of blessing from me. Allah (Exalted is He) inspired them to my heart, and I then presented them to the Prophet ﷺ. I had intended to ask him about their particular excellence, but before I could speak, he answered me:
‘They possess a merit far too immense to measure. Whoever adheres to them is raised to the loftiest ranks and reaches the most distant spiritual goals. Anyone who uses them to seek a need will not be turned back empty-handed; his request will not fail, and his supplication will not be rejected. Whoever recites them even once, or keeps them in his possession, Allah will forgive him and all those present with him.
When his final hour arrives, four angels of mercy will stand beside him: one will repel Satan from him; the second will encourage him to speak the testimony of faith; the third will soothe his thirst with a drink from the Kawthar; and the fourth will hold a golden vessel filled with fruits of Paradise and give him the glad tidings of his place there, saying, ‘Rejoice, O servant of Allah!’ He will gaze upon his Lord before his soul departs.
He will enter his grave safely, joyfully, without fear, loneliness, or tightness. Forty doors of mercy and forty of light will be opened for him. When he is resurrected, an angel on his right will bring him good news, and another on his left will reassure him. He will be adorned in two fine garments, and a noble steed will be brought for him to ride. He will face no grief, no regret, and his reckoning will be easy. As he crosses the Bridge over Hell, the Fire will call to him: ‘Hurry across, O servant freed by Allah! I am forbidden from touching you.’
He will enter Paradise with the righteous predecessors. There he will be granted forty domes made of pure silver, within each dome a palace of gold, and inside every palace a hundred pavilions of light. Within each pavilion will be a raised couch of silk brocade, and upon each couch a maiden from among the houris, her form like the most exquisite fragrance, radiant as the full moon on the night of union.
Then he will be granted what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and what has never crossed a human heart.’
The Shaykh added:
This invocation is granted only to a person of true righteousness, for it is perfect in purity and divine favour. If the reciter faces a difficulty, each prayer becomes a means of closeness to the Prophet ﷺ, and every Quranic verse within it stands as an intercessor before the Lord. It is the prayer of those devoted to worship, the recitation of those who remember God, the counsel of those who take heed, and the doorway of those seeking nearness. It is the prayer of the Noble Quran itself. For this reason, I have named it: Glad Tidings of Good Things.
